Celebrating International Nurses’ Day on 12th May 2026!

The 12^th of May, International Nurses’ Day, is one of the most important days of the year for everyone at English for Nurses. It’s a day for us all to come together, show our solidarity, and celebrate nurses all over the world as we reflect on the vital contribution that nurses make to our society. How could we manage without nurses? Quite simply, we couldn’t. 

This year, Nurses’ Day will be even more special for me as I am attending the wonderful Florence Nightingale Foundation’s magnificent Commemoration Service at Westminster Abbey in London. The service has been held annually at the Abbey since 1965. 

As you all know, Florence Nightingale is very important to English for Nurses. To celebrate Nurses’ Day we will be posting some of her wise words every week throughout May. We hope you enjoy them!
