Sabine's new article for HealthManagement.org is now available!
The Nurse Honor Guard: A Final Tribute to a Nurse
In this month's article, Sabine talks about the special tribute that nurses in the USA can receive when they die: a Nurse Honor Guard.
A Nurse Honor Guard is made up of nurses who come together to honour a deceased nurse and recognise the service they gave to patients, families, colleagues, and the nursing profession. Their presence provides a deeply meaningful farewell – not only for the nurse, but also for their family, friends, and colleagues.
Sabine writes:
"For me, watching this ceremony was incredibly moving. There was something profoundly powerful about nurses standing together for one of their own."
This is a fascinating and moving article. Please do have a read!
